Here are some points on how to prepare for your Aquagold Glow treatment and what to avoid before your appointment:

• Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water before the appointment.

• Clean Face: Arrive with a clean face, free of makeup. (Don’t worry, If you are unable to come make-up free we can help with that when you arrive).

• Sun Protection: Protect your skin from the sun by wearing sunscreen daily with an SPF of at least 30. Sun exposure can increase the risk of post-treatment complications and skin damage.

• Avoid Hair Removal:Refrain from waxing, shaving, or using depilatory creams on the treatment area for a few days before the treatment to minimize irritation.

• Avoid Blood-Thinning Medications: Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, and other blood thinners 1 week prior (Unless prescribed by your physician for a medical condition). 

• Avoid Alcohol: Refrain from drinking alcohol 24-48 hours before.

• Avoid Supplements: Stop taking vitamin E, fish oil, and garlic supplements a few days before.

• Cosmetic Treatments: Avoid facials, chemical peels, and waxing 1 week prior. Avoid harsh exfoliants, retinoids, and other potentially irritating products for at least one week before the treatment.

• Cold Sores: No active cold sore outbreak at the time of your appointment. If you have a history of cold sores please notify your injector, you will be given a prophylactic prescription and this will be discussed at your appointment.

By following these simple guidelines, you can help ensure a smooth and effective outcome.

After your Aquagold Glow treatment, follow these aftercare instructions:
 

• Avoid touching or rubbing the treated area for at least a few hours after the procedure.

• Keep the area clean and avoid applying makeup or skincare products for the first 24 hours.

• Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water to support the healing process.

• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and use sunscreen with a high SPF if you need to go outside.

• Avoid strenuous exercise or activities that may cause sweating for at least 24 hours.

• Follow any specific post-treatment instructions provided by your healthcare provider, such as using prescribed skincare products or avoiding certain medications.

By following these simple guidelines, you can help ensure an effective treatment outcome.

Results from an Aqua Gold Facial can typically be seen within a few days to a week after treatment. You may notice immediate improvements in skin hydration and a subtle glow, with further enhancement in skin texture and tone over the following weeks as collagen production is stimulated and skin rejuvenation occurs.

Patients with certain health conditions are not eligible or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Patients currently taking prescription oral acne medications are generally not candidates for micro-channeling or microneedling. These systemic treatments significantly affect the skin's natural healing process, making a temporary pause necessary before proceeding.
